As co-CEO of Tax Traders, I lead an exceptionally talented team of specialists who are driven to solve complex problems and make the world a better place. Tax Traders is a New Zealand fintech success story, and the leading platform for provisional tax payments.

We are transforming how accountants and taxpayers engage with the tax system. Our tools make the benefits of the tax system more accessible, helping accountants unlock greater productivity and deliver better value to their clients, so more taxpayers ultimately benefit. This exemplifies "good business", where value creation goes hand in hand with positive outcomes for people, the environment, and our communities.

My background spans retail, executive leadership and marketing in the UK and New Zealand. I have led large-scale teams (150+), delivered major retail and brand transformations, and helped businesses navigate rapid change with a focus on strategy, customer experience, and long-term value.

I bring a commercial mindset and systems level thinking to everything I do, with a strong belief in the power of aligned, purpose-led teams to create real momentum. I am known for my ability to build building high-performing, purpose-led teams where people feel deeply connected to their work and the impact they create. I believe great cultures, not just great strategies, are what power exceptional businesses.

At Tax Traders, I also lead our product strategy and have been instrumental in the rollout of our new suite of SaaS products, tools designed to streamline the provisional tax workflow for accountants.

I am committed to the principles of regenerative capitalism, where social impact and commercial advantage can, and should, reinforce each other. I continue to explore this through ongoing learning, including the Profit and Purpose programme at Harvard Business School.

At the heart of it all, I believe how we work matters. I am energised by the idea that business can and must be a force for good. My passion lies in purpose-led leadership and building organisations that create enduring value, not just for shareholders, but for people and the planet too.

Governance

As Co-CEO of a New Zealand fintech success story, I am seeking board observer opportunities to deepen my governance expertise whilst contributing meaningfully to organisational success. I bring a commercial mindset, systems-level thinking, and experience navigating complex regulatory environments in the financial technology sector.

My approach to governance is founded on three core principles:

Strategic Stewardship: I believe effective governance requires balancing short-term performance with enduring value creation. My experience driving major retail and brand transformations has honed my ability to evaluate strategic opportunities, assess risks, and guide organisations through periods of significant change.

Cultural Leadership: I believe an organisation's long-term success depends on building strong, values-driven cultures. My experience leading teams of over 150 people has demonstrated how governance decisions directly influence organisational resilience and innovative problem-solving capacity. I firmly believe great cultures, not just great strategies, power exceptional businesses.

Regenerative Value Creation: Beyond traditional financial metrics, I advocate for governance that embraces both commercial advantage and social impact. This includes consideration of environmental sustainability, community relationships, and stakeholder interests as essential components of creating enduring value and organisational success.

I am particularly interested in exploring how boards shape organisational culture, manage emerging technologies, and balance diverse stakeholder interests. Research consistently demonstrates that diverse boards deliver superior financial returns, reduced risk and improved decision quality. I am committed to fostering environments where diverse perspectives are actively sought and valued, recognising this diversity directly contributes to innovation.

A board observer role would allow me to contribute my product strategy and executive leadership expertise while developing a more comprehensive understanding of governance best practices, ultimately enhancing my effectiveness both in my current capacity and in future governance roles
