Governing for what comes next
I work with boards and executive teams to navigate complexity and make decisions that are not only commercially sound but socially consequential in a time that demands more from business than ever before.
My Approach
I see governance as both stewardship and design — matching ambition with discipline to create lasting value. Drawing on experience leading major retail and fintech transformations, I bring a balanced approach to growth, risk and culture.
In fast-moving environments, I view culture as performance infrastructure and advocate for governance that anticipates change, enabling organisations to grow boldly, purposefully and with long-term resilience.
Current roles
Board Member | Treasurer - YWCA Auckland
October 2025 - Present
Non-executive director of an incorporated society and registered charity, elected at the Annual General Meeting following an advertised and contested process. The board comprises up to nine elected directors on three-year terms, subject to a two-term limit and a mandatory stand-down period.
- Treasurer and Chair of the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee accountable for financial oversight, the external audit relationship, investment governance and the risk register.
- Fiduciary oversight of circa $13m in net assets, including an investment fund of circa $12m, against operating revenue of circa $740k and a cost base of circa $1.5m
- Leading the review of the Statement of Investment Policies and Objectives, testing the spending policy, reserving waterfall and drawdown assumptions against the fund’s sustainable real return and its CPI-linked return objective
- Rebuilt the financial model and reporting suite presented to the board, separating investment return from operating performance so directors can see the underlying operating result
- Member of the Executive Committee, the board committee responsible for CEO appointment, contract and performance oversight
- Contributing to the development of committee terms of reference and the wider governance policy framework
