Trust in Finance and the Rise of Fintech

I'm delighted to be participating in the inaugural panel of the Juncture Dialogue Event Series on Thursday 22 May. Juncture: Dialogues on Inclusive Capitalism is a groundbreaking University of Auckland Business School research centre exploring how capitalism can better serve people and planet.

As the first endeavour of its kind in Aotearoa New Zealand, Juncture brings our nation's diverse perspectives and unique insights to the global movement towards a more sustainable and equitable world through research, education, and collaboration to enable long-term transformation.

Our first dialogue explores "Trust in Finance and the Rise of Fintech" - a topic where promise and potential abuse sit side by side. Well-managed financial markets drive prosperity, but when left unattended, finance is open to abuse and excess. How can we harness finance for good in an increasingly digital world?

I'll be joining a distinguished panel including Raghavendra R. (Sir Evelyn de Rothschild Professor of Finance at Cambridge Judge Business School), Dr Chanelle Duley (University of Auckland Business School lecturer specialising in digital finance), Decio N. (Founder and CIO of Norbury Partners), and Christopher Swasbrook (Founder of Elevation Capital and FMA Board Member).

Would you like to join us? The event runs from 5:30-7:30pm at the University of Auckland Business School, with networking opportunities, panel discussion and Q&A.

What role do you think fintech plays in rebuilding trust in financial systems? What questions would you like our panel to address?
